Building a Health Movement in London, Ontario

I’ve got a big, ambitious goal—one I haven’t shared publicly very often because, honestly, it sounds a bit crazy. But here it is: I want to extend and improve the lives of 25,000 people in London through health and fitness.

Yes, 25,000 is a huge number. But it’s not just about those 25,000 individuals—it’s about their ripple effect. Research shows that one person’s positive changes can influence and inspire nine others through their actions, stories, and energy. That means if we reach 25,000 people, the ripple effect could touch over 50% of the London population!

Think about it: helping one mom create healthier habits doesn’t just transform her life. It shapes her children’s routines, her partner’s perspective, and even her extended family. We see this all the time at MVMT Strength. Someone starts their fitness journey, falls in love with it, and invites their partner to join. That partner then discovers how much they also love fitness and together with their new found love of health they become more active outside the gym as well—whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or chasing their own big goals. A few years later, they have kids who grow up in an active household, eating nourishing foods, playing sports, and learning the value of movement.

This is how we create real, generational change in our community. It starts with one person and their transformation, and it grows into something much bigger than any of us could achieve alone.

Right now, I’m pursuing this goal through two main avenues:

  1. MVMT Strength I truly believe MVMT Strength is the best gym community around (yes, I’m biased!). We focus on thoughtful programming designed to help people build strength and resilience for the long term. It’s not just about working out—it’s about creating habits and a mindset that people can carry with them for a lifetime.
  2. LDN Run Club I also lead the LDN Run Club, which offers a free community run every week. It’s a way to make fitness more accessible, especially for people who can’t commit to a regular gym membership because of time, budget, or other constraints. It’s about showing people that movement doesn’t have to be complicated to make a difference.

On top of that, I’m fortunate to be a lululemon ambassador, which has given me a platform to reach even more people across London, Ontario. Through this partnership, I can amplify this mission, connect with like-minded individuals, and help spread the message of health, vitality, and community.

This mission isn’t just about living longer—it’s about living better. It’s about vitality: happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives without preventable health struggles. That’s the driving force behind MVMT Strength. We’re not just a gym; we’re sparking a MVMT (movement). We’re here to help people fall in love with fitness, discover activities they genuinely enjoy, and learn foundational health and fitness principles they can share with their families and friends.

Our goal isn’t to keep clients forever—although we wouldn’t complain if they stayed! The real win is watching our members take what they’ve learned and use it to improve their own lives and inspire those around them.

So, London, please help me make this happen. Together, we can create a healthier, happier, and more vibrant community. Let’s make an impact that lasts for generations to come. 😊
